Note-A-Lator is a music reading quiz app that helps parents improve their child’s music reading abilities. Unlike regular tests, Note-A-Lator provides immediate feedback by drawing every wrong answer on a staff after each question, eliminating the need for a proficient adult to look over the student’s shoulder.
Features
Customizable Quizzes
No matter what instrument your child is learning, Note-A-Lator’s tests can be customized to suit their needs. And Note-A-Lator remembers your choices, so you never need to change the test options once you have them set up the way you like.
Note Identification
Note-A-Lator’s note identification quizzes can test notes in any key; in treble, alto, tenor, and bass clef; and with either no accidentals, sharps and flats, or double-sharps and double-flats.
Rhythm Identification
Note-A-Lator’s rhythm identification quizzes can test values from whole note to sixty-fourth note, with any number of dots; notes with flags and beamed notes; individual notes and notes in the middle of groups.
Immediate Feedback
If the student gets an answer wrong, Note-A-Lator will immediately draw their answer on a staff so that it can be compared to the correct answer.
Advice
At the end of each quiz, Note-A-Lator shows the student a report card. If any areas of the test seem particularly problematic, Note-A-Lator will point them out so the student knows what to focus on in the next quiz.
